Demonstrate that you know your class well. Explain your rotation, stat priority and anything else you think is important:
Pot 3 seconds, cast incinerate twice, immolate, dimensional rift, soul harvest, imp, infernal, chaos bolt, channel demonfire. Maintain eradication whilst building shards to spend with Chaos bolt.
Mostly item level rules the roost with Destro but haste + something is a good general rule of thumb. I’m pretty well geared frankly, I just miss my key legendary, which is annoying but it is what it is.
Part 3: Experience and Raiding
Please list your previous raiding experience and guilds. Why did you leave them:
[Wrath] One Legacy, The Sha’tar – I started raiding with these guys back in Ulduar. I parted ways with them after being head hunted by Obscure, the top guild on the realm at the time. I remain friends with the GM in real life to this day but I wanted more from raiding, ironically the situation is very similar to now.
[Cataclysm] Obscure, The Sha’tar – I raided with Obscure for all of Cataclysm and the start of MoP. We cleared everything, got some realm firsts and had a great time, I loved this guild but unfortunately new officers were brought in for MoP, I fell seriously ill during the second week of MoP heroic progress and when I came back to raiding after a three month stint in hospital, they treated me very poorly. The guild eventually folded.
[WoD] One Legacy, Defias Brotherhood – Missing all of MoP, I Returned to WoW at the end of Highmaul after the reformation of One Legacy on Defias Brotherhood. We tried mighty hard to get into Mythic raiding but always struggled with numbers, the guild disbanded during HFC.
[WoD] Prime, Defias Brotherhood – I raided with Prime just over a year. Cheryl is a friend of mine and does a stellar job of leading the guild but we failed to achieve the goals set out at the start of the expansion in EN & ToV, mostly due to roster changes. Great people but ultimately I wanted more from raiding, I’m back there now actually while I assess my options.
[Legion] RR-Inc, Ravenholtd – Originally I joined these guys as Rogue but switched to Warlock towards the end of Nighthold because I was asked to. Not going to lie it’s been a rough ride after playing Rogue solidly since Wrath. Still I wanted a challenge so stuck with it. The issues I have with RR-inc are not easily fixed and ultimately its just not been fun for me raiding here for the last month. The ethos they preach is not what they practice and favouritism plays a big part in who raids and who doesn’t and I’m tired of it frankly. I wish them all the best.
Are you able to make 90% of raids in a given month? Wed/Thurs/Sun 8-11pm CEST?
Currently raid 1 more night a week than this for the last six months so it’s no problem.
What responsibilities, if any, have you taken lead of during your raiding career?
Raid leader/officer, rated battleground leader, melee lead.
What resources do you use to improve?
Everything but these days I mostly just try to analyse my logs versus others. I have lots of areas to improve on, I’m well aware of it.
Part 4: Primal
Why do you think Primal is the guild for you and what do you expect from us?
Slightly less progress than I’m currently at so I feel I have a bit of time to continue to grow as a Warlock whilst being of value tactically. I’m a committed person being slightly older and I wanted to be horde for a change. Joining Primal would allow me to remain relatively competitive on the same server.
Why should we select you?
I’m always striving to do better. I’m a good guy, loyal & dedicated. Looking for a fair shot at clearing top tier content.
