Name and Age: My name is Charlie and I am 21.
Where do you live: I live in the south of England, I am currently at university in Brighton.
Tell us a bit about yourself (hobbies/interests outside of WoW): I work part-time in a shoe shop and study History at the University of Sussex. I enjoy swimming and playing other video games such as Overwatch.

Artifact Level (MS/OS): Havoc: artifact level 59, Vengeance: artifact level 52.
Demonstrate that you know your class well. Explain your rotation, stat priority and anything else you think is important: Firstly, as a havoc demon hunter I am a very mobile melee dps, this means that I can easily get around the encounter area and help deal with mechanics at a moments notice. For my rotation, I use the demon blades talent for almost every encounter therefore most of my fury generation is passive, however I run Felblade and use it on cooldown (unless I am close to fury cap) for extra fury and a bit of damage. I will also use my Blood Elf Racial to generate an extra 15 fury when useful unless the silence is necessary elsewhere in the fight. I spend fury on Chaos Strike whilst using Blade Dance as often as I can (more important than ever with the t20 4-set and legendary cloak. I weave in Throw Glaive when I have any downtime and also for cleave. I generally use my artifact ability (Fury of the Illidari) on cooldown, unless I need to hold on to it to burst down some adds or for cleave. I will also use Nemesis and Chaos Blades together on cooldown and metamorphosis on-pull and with every other nem/cb usage. When focusing three or more targets I will use Eyebeam on cooldown and occasionally use Chaos Nova to spawn soul fragments which reduce the cooldown of Eyebeam.
My stat priority currently is: Crit > Haste = Versatility > Agility > Mastery. The value of haste and versatility vary with versatility being slightly more valuable at my current gear level.
The standard talent build that I use for raiding is: 2221311 and for most mythic+ dungeons I use: 3323123.
Part 3: Experience and Raiding
Please list your previous raiding experience and guilds. Why did you leave them: my previous guilds were: Exiled-Azuremyst, I bonded very well with Exiled from the end of Cataclysm and raided with them throughout Pandaria, we were in the top 10 for our realm in most tiers but unfortunately I had to stop playing the game due to personal commitments at the beginning of Warlords and when I returned I was no longer welcome to raid with them so I moved on. Atlas-TwistingNether was a guild I joined recently and progressed mythic Nighthold with them. However, with the opening of Tomb, the GM decided to quit leading the raids and most of the officers did not want to raid anymore and therefore the raid team was disbanded.
From Dragon Soul to the end of Mists of Pandaria I was raiding at a high level, clearing most bosses on Heroic before the release of the next tier. I returned to the game after a break in Legion and played more casually while working on my degree and through problems in my personal life. Earlier in this year I decided to get back into raiding and found success with Atlas in the Nighthold and I am now looking to further improve and continue raiding at a high level.
Are you able to make 90% of raids in a given month? Wed/Thurs/Sun 8-11pm CEST: Yes, I have no problem committing to over 90% of raid nights every month, usually 100%.
What responsibilities, if any, have you taken lead of during your raiding career? Apart from a small amount of raid leading and overseeing the healers in Throne of Thunder I haven’t really been in charge of much, I prefer to just listen and help where I can than taking a leading role.
What resources do you use to improve? I often look at the logs of better players than myself and compare them to mine, I also use a lot of the resources provided on the demon hunter discord as well as simulationcraft to help me figure out BiS lists, stat priorities etc.
Part 4: Primal
Why do you think Primal is the guild for you and what do you expect from us? I was impressed by your progress and believe that I could be a valued addition to your current raid setup. I am friends with a member of Primal and through just casual discussions with him I can see that this is the kind of guild I would like to be a part of. I expect somewhat serious raiding in a non-toxic environment with a little bit of fun on the side (why else to we play games?) I don’t really expect any more than that.
Why should we select you? Whilst I know I am not the greatest player ever, I am a good listener and very quick at learning the mechanics of a fight, I can also deal with these mechanics whilst maintaining a solid amount of damage. I am a player that is always looking to improve and I enjoy working towards a goal with a group of like-minded people.
Thank you for considering my application,

Hi mate, appreciate the application, most of it looks good however i’m not sure if we can viably fit another demon hunter in our roster atm i’m aware valoric has told you about one of our DHs potentially rerolling but thats very up in the air and i don’t want to recruit someone on a what if basis and i don’t want you to join and not be able to join raids due to roster/comp issues. Appreciate the interest though and gl in the future, always welcome to reapply if circumstances change especially as a friend of a guildie
